Hello there..

I am here today with my second inspiration for September.

Autumn is here and the climate is full of yellows and browns.. so is my layout for today.

I have used some lovely chippies from 2Crafty and incorporated them with my layers. I love the script words chippies, they are my favourite. Here I picked "Shine" to suit the theme of my layout.

This time I chose to keep my chippies in their original colour and I loved the outcome.

September Inspiration "Once upon a dream" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Canvas
 "Once Upon a Dream"

Hello there..

I am on 2Crafty Chipboard blog today with my first project for September. I created a Mixed Media Canvas
 using some gorgeous chipboard pieces from 2Crafty Chipboard and various mediums, paints and embellishments from Finnabair.

 I started by spreading a generous amount of crackle paste on the base as I love to create textures on my canvas. Then I added some more texture with modelling paste and a stencil.

For my first layer, I used some wooden circles that I had grabbed from some stationary shop long time back. Next I stuck a couple of brushes for creating dimension. I then covered it all with heavy white gesso. Then I added some color with finnabair's rust paste and metallique acrylic paint in "golden moss", which is one of my most favourite colors in this range. I used a water spray to spread the color.

Creating a textured background and having a focal element is my favourite in mixed media and here

my focal point is Dreamcatchers and the title.. I layered all the three pieces

of the Dream catchers chippies on top of each other for more depth and dimension.

I prepared my chippies with Finnabair's Metallique sparks in "unicorn's hair".
 I used an ordinary kitchen foam to apply the color over the chippies and loved the shine. They coordinated well with my background.

I layered various metal embellishments and some flowers that I coloured the same as my background shades.

Next I gave a touch Finnabair's waxes on all the metal elements to pop them up.

Finally added art stones and some background stamp to finish off.

July Inspiration "Memories" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout - "Memories"

Hello there..

Back today at 2Crafty Chipboard with my first inspiration for July.

It's summer and a perfect time to create a beach layout. I used a picture of my boy on the beach. He absolutely loves the sand and the sea.

I used some coordinating chippies from 2Crafty.

For this Layout, I preferred to keep my chipboard pieces in their original color. 

I layered fishing net pieces with the other paper elements.

With the Anchor piece, I tied a cotton string for added detail. And Just for the foliage,

 I used the Finnabair's green metallique acrylic paint.

I used lots of real shells for a more natural look in this layout.

June Inspiration "Mini Album" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Baby Mini Album "this girl"

Hello there..

Here I am with my second inspiration for June for 2Crafty Chipboard.

I created a Mini Album for baby girl using some lovely chippies from 2Crafty on the cover and through the pages.

I used a chipboard album consisting of four little pages that I covered with white gesso, added texture with modelling paste and stencil and then applied color using Lindy's spray. 

I have used papers from pion design.

So on the front cover, I have the main title chippie "this girl", that I embossed in white. 

For the butterflies and circle word "sweet", I used Finnabair's Art Alchemy sparks in "unicorn's hair".

For the other two mini titles "precious" and "adore" as well as for 

alpha chippies also I did white embossing.

For the round frames, I used different embossing colors based on the background.

 It was so much fun doing the chippies in a variety of colors.

Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout - "Sweet Memories"

Back today with my fourth and final project as a Guest Designer on My Creative Scrapbook for their June Limited Edition Kit. The kit is just too good and I had really a wonderful time creating with the goodies provided in there.

Guest Designer My Creative Scrapbook June LE Kit Part 3

Mixed Media Canvas "CREATE"

Back today with my third project as a Guest Designer on My Creative Scrapbook for their June Limited Edition Kit. The kit is just too good and I had really a wonderful time creating with the goodies provided in there.

June Inspiration with 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Altered Notebook Cover

Hello there..

Back today with my second inspiration for June on 2Crafty Chipboard.

I altered a notebook cover in mixed media style using a lot of mixed media supplies and some beautiful chipboard pieces from 2Crafty.

I started with applying gesso on the front and back covers, followed by texture crackle paste and more texture with stencil. 

Then I sprayed color using Lindy's Sprays in pink and brown.

I also embossed certain areas with white EP using a script stamp.

 I created a collage with various elements and used three different pieces of chipboard, layering them with other elements.

I chose to use Baroque design so to make everything come together with the background

where I used a Motifs design stencil.

For "My Happy Place" which appears as the focal element here, I embossed it with

 Golden Embossing Powder to make it stand out, and put it on the top most layer.

So for the Baroque Corners and Wendy's border, I applied a layer of gesso, followed

 by distressing and some stamping.

 I also embossed certain parts of Wendy's border with white Embossing Powder.

I used one of the Baroque corners on the back cover of the notebook.
