Hello Friends..

So it's the end of February. Like every year, this month leaves behind so much love in the air.

All my fellow crafters have been busy creating valentine themed projects, 

and I am here with one too!

We at 2Crafty have been solving February case files at CSI challenge blog as Guest designers this month. Here's how I solved case file #273, which has a beautiful valentine theme.

The beautiful image inspired me a lot with the soft and delicate theme.
I went with the colour scheme, playing basically with pink, green and white on my LO. 

As I love to create textures and add details on my background, here also I have played with spray, mediums, stamps, stencil and lots of splatters.

I chose to design a valentine theme and picked a woodgrain paper. 

For my design, I used an ornate Frame combined with a flourish and distressed both the pieces with crackle effect paste and distress ink.

For the foliage set, I applied Finnabair's metallique acrylic paint in "Green Olive", which also gave a lovely shine. I distressed the edges of the leaves.

Guest Designer MCS Feb LE Kit

Mixed Media Layout"Exhale Doubt"

Hi Friends..

So I am continuing to create for My Creative Scrapbook Feb LE kit, featuring products from Prima Marketing "Poetic Rose" Collection, Creative Embellishments and more.

I created a Mixed Media Layout using this gorgeous kit and other supplies.

The papers in this collection are just so beautiful with mesmerising floral and scripted designs.

It was difficult to choose one for my LO.

Here I created lots of layers, keeping all those pretty flowers as the main embellishing elements. I also used some die cut leaves that I have coloured with Finnabair's Acrylic paint in "Plum Preserve".

For the background, I played with Lindy's Moonshadow mist in "Moonlight Mulberry".. loved the shade totally. Over the spray splatters, I created some texture with stencil and "plum preserve", followed by stamping with one of aall & create stamp set #10.

I love the moulds by Redesign with Prima, and now keeping a few shapes handy to be used in any project. Here I used "Holly Brook" design, and added a touch of Finnabair's wax in "old silver".

I added some wooden bits with the cluster, for some natural feel.

February Inspiration "Follow your Heart" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello my Friends..

Back with my February inspiration on 2Crafty blog, I have created a Mixed Media Rusty Canvas and used some fabulous steampunk chippies from 2Crafty.

As I love creating mixed media backgrounds, here too I did a lot of work to get the
 textures out, using different mediums which you can see in the step by step tutorial video below.

I have worked on my chippies with Finnabair's Rust Pastes in Camouflage to compliment

 the rusty background. Also, I added highlights with the wax in rich copper, which

 gave a quick contrast to the pieces.

Guest Designer MCS February LE kit

Hello my dears..

Today I am glad to share my project as Guest Designer for My Creative Scrapbook Feb LE kit. The kits by MCS, I must say, are gorgeous and full of exciting stuff.

The February LE kit primarily consists of the beautiful "Poetic Rose" collection by Prima Marketing and more stuff from Heidi swap and creative embellishments.

It is all just so gorgeous!!

My first project using this kit is a canvas, where I have used loads of floral ephemera, papers and flowers from Poetic rose. 

The colors in this collection are so soft and delicate. It actually makes you feel poetic when you look at those lovely papers. 

Everything is pretty and very feminine, so I decided to feature a picture of me and my daughter with this design. It was so awesome to create layers with those floral ephemera, including a collection of beautiful transparent ones too. And what to say about Prima flowers.. they are always so elegant.
