December Inspiration "Moment" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Canvas "Moment"

Hello there..

I am back with my December, more precisely, end of the year inspiration for you.
I created a Mixed Media canvas using various steampunk chipboard pieces from
2Crafty's fabulous new arrivals and other Mixed Media supplies.

I was quite a bit particular about the colour scheme for this canvas and wanted to stick
to white, grey and turquoise. I am happy that I achieved the desired result.

Firstly I adhered the chipboard pieces of chicken barbed wire and gessoed them along
with the base. I also mixed Finnabair's texture powder with white gesso. Then I
stamped the background with random background stamps.

For the collage part, I picked three different steampunk pieces, lightbulb word and gears
and coloured them grey by mixing a little bit of black gesso to the white one. I layered them along with other elements.

 I also added some highlight
of Finnabair's wax in "Mystic Turquoise" to the chippies.
I stamped a couple of butterflies and cut them out to use as embellishments.
I have embossed some parts of the paper elements and the canvas with Lindy's EP in "Desert moon turquoise".

As final touches, I added some highlights of white gesso and added distress glitter in "Pumice stone".

December Inspiration “Christmas Cheer” for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello there..

So the best time of the year is here again with all its festivities and cheer, and I am
back with my project for December, “Christmas Cheer” with video tutorial for you.
I prepared a layout and worked a bit out of my comfort zone with a bold coloured background.

I have used some coordinating chippies for this layout as it’s meant to be for the Christmas season.
So here I used a wreath, lanterns and a title.
For the turkish lanterns and the title I have used Lindy’s
 embossing powder in “purely white”.
For the wreath I used “spanish moss green”. I loved the outcome as I wanted to
stick to red green and white this time :)
More detailed pictures....

November Inspiration "Always" for 2crafty chipboard

Mixed Media Layout"Always"

Hello Friends..

After a long vacation to my homeland, I am back on my craft table and created this layout
 for my November inspiration project.
I picked some nice random pieces of chippies here and coordinated them all with my layers.

So for this layout, I have used sprays to colour my chippies. For the background, I used Ranger distress spray in "walnut stain" and used the same on Decorative Rod and Checkerboard chippies.

For the mini branches, I chose one of lindy's sprays in "Gator Gumbo olive". I loved that golden shine on the leaves.
For the Fine word "Always" and "fob clock", I chose to keep the original colour. I distressed the edges of the fob clock.

October Inspiration "Cherish" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Vintage Canvas
"Cherish"

Hello there..
Back on 2Crafty Chipboard blog today with my october inspiration. I created a vintage style mixed media canvas and used some beautiful chipboard pieces from 2Crafty.

I created lots of layers on a small sized box canvas using different elements and incorporated the chippies therein. Flowers and other few metal elements I have used from Prima Marketing.
I chose corners and flourish designs of chippies for this project.

I started with scrap pieces of papers, cheese cloth and laces, followed by adding the chippies and flowers. I love to be asymmetric in my projects and in this one I kept the elements popping out on all four sides of the canvas. The box canvas gave my design an added dimension.
For all the chipboard pieces here, I have applied finnabair's wax in "white gold" after a layer of white gesso for the vintage look and dull finish on the project.
For the finishing touches, as always, I love adding art stones, micro beads and some glitter.

For the love of Autumn - A mini Album

Hello there..

Autumn is here with all its magic. Nature blends into the beautiful color palette and it is the time that inspires so much. I created a 6*6 album using "Botany" collection from Fabrica Decoru, that I had received as a GDT package last year. The package consisted of some gorgeous papers and die cuts.

The whole process was fun totally enjoyable, creating each page and adding those tiny details. I designed the cover with multiple shabby chic layers, using fabric, book pages, scrap pieces, chippies, die cuts and more. Nature has so much beauty and inspiration in every season, but autumn is my favourite as it inspires me more with all its gorgeous colours.

September inspiration "Shine" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Layout
"Shine"

Hello there..
I am here today with my second inspiration for September.
Autumn is here and the climate is full of yellows and browns.. so is my layout for today.

I have used some lovely chippies from 2Crafty and incorporated them with my layers. I love the script words chippies, they are my favourite. Here I picked "Shine" to suit the theme of my layout.
This time I chose to keep my chippies in their original colour and I loved the outcome.
Check out detailed pictures and a video tutorial too.

September Inspiration "Once upon a dream" for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media Canvas
 "Once Upon a Dream"

Hello there..
I am on 2Crafty Chipboard blog today with my first project for September. I created a Mixed Media Canvas
using some gorgeous chipboard pieces from 2Crafty Chipboard and various mediums, paints and embellishments from Finnabair.

I started by spreading a generous amount of crackle paste on the base as I love to create textures on my canvas. Then I added some more texture with modelling paste and a stencil.
For my first layer, I used some wooden circles that I had grabbed from some stationary shop long time back. Next I stuck a couple of brushes for creating dimension. I then covered it all with heavy white gesso. Then I added some color with finnabair's rust paste and metallique acrylic paint in "golden moss", which is one of my most favourite colors in this range. I used a water spray to spread the color.
Creating a textured background and having a focal element is my favourite in mixed media and here
my focal point is Dreamcatchers and the title.. I layered all the three pieces
of the Dream catchers chippies on top of each other for more depth and dimension.

I prepared my chippies with Finnabair's Metallique sparks in "unicorn's hair".
I used an ordinary kitchen foam to apply the color over the chippies and loved the shine. They coordinated well with my background.
I layered various metal embellishments and some flowers that I coloured the same as my background shades.
Next I gave a touch Finnabair's waxes on all the metal elements to pop them up.
Finally added art stones and some background stamp to finish off.
Some more detailed pictures..
