February Inspiration continues for 2Crafty Chipboard

Mixed Media layout "Getaway"

Hello there..

I am back today with my second project of this month for 2Crafty Chipboard.
I have created a Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout on a road trip theme.

For this Layout, I chose to keep minimal. I have used paper from 7Dots Studio "Writer's Block" as I am also entering this work for 7Dots Studio February Challenge, taking inspiration from the picture of the road in the moodboard.
I did my background with Finnabair Art Alchemy metallic Acrylic Paints. I also did some script stamping for more texture.
I wanted the Hessian Patch Panel chippie to be more rustic so I just applied one layer
of gesso to it and used it as a base for the photo.
Some detailed pictures..

For the Gear, chicken barbed wire and the word "getaway" chippies,
I have applied some copper metallic paint with hints of black gesso.

First February Inspiration 2Crafty Chipboard

"Vintage Boutique" - An Altered Frame

Hi there..

Today I am at 2Crafty Chipboard Blog with my first project for February which is a Mixed Media altered frame in Vintage Boutique style, incorporating various elements with a chipboard Mannequin as focal element.
Also I have used fabric to create a more interesting background.

I have gessoed the mannequin chippie and embossed some script stamp on it, I also distressed it's edges. I embossed the moroccan bits and the word "gorgeous" in the same color.
I have used various metal elements and art pebbles from Finnabair, beads and buttons to match the theme and applied some Finnabair rust effect paste and Metallic wax in "white gold" on all of these.
Some detailed images..

Words & Paintery February Inspiration

"Love - A Bliss"

Hey there beautiful people..
So it's a season of love and there are beautiful colors all around. Today I am at Words & paintery Blog, with my inspiration work for this month's challenge and also my entry for Lindy's Challenge.

I created this mixed media work on a circular base with lots of elements and mediums.
First of all I covered the base with a tissue paper for some texture and applied gesso all over. I then stenciled some pattern using modelling paste from Finnabair/Prima and then applied the gorgeous sprays from Lindy's (Links below). Finally for my background I did some stamping with "Messy Script" from Finnabair.
Once I was done with the background, I started with the collage part and arranged all the elements together. Firstly I arranged the scraps of papers as a base for my photo and then carried on with other embellishments. Once done with the collage part, I added some more color for more depth and finally some splashes. I also distressed the edges of my circle.
Some more pictures..

Patina Key Holder

Hello there....

Today I am here to share my latest make and I am loving it :)
It's a key holder in Patina effect. I love Finnabair Patina as well as rust pastes for their versatility and the gorgeous results they bring out in any and every project.

I created this key holder by altering an old frame and working on it with Prima IOD mould, Finnabair metal embellishments, art pebbles and art stones, chippies from 2Crafty, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Finnabair patina effect pastes along with Heavy Gesso.

Sharing a few detailed pictures...

I am participating with this project to Mixed Media Place January Challenge. The colors in the Moodboard instantly inspired me.

Hope you enjoyed the post and got inspired :)

February challenge inspiration for MMW

Hey there...
January seemed to have flown by so quickly and it's already February.
The season of Love. The mood boards this month are full of soft tones, flowers and of course the theme of love. Here we have Mixed Media Warriors mood board with lots of pink tones and flowers. I have prepared a very delicate canvas for this month with soft shades of pink.

For this canvas, I just wanted to concentrate on one corner, leaving the rest of the canvas clean. In most of my works, I like to do it that way as it gives a project a highlighted focal area which is more catchy.
So to start with, I arranged the elements except for the flowers and gessoed everything nicely. I used some random pieces of chipboard negatives, some shells, art stones from Finnabair and a prima resin frame on top with a love title tied along. After covering everything with gesso, I used sprays from Lindy's in a very controlled way to add some color all around the focal area. I also painted some flowers in watercolor and cut them out to use them as embellishments along with other floral arrangement. I also added some micro beads and finshed off with some text stickers and little bit of background stamping that I loooove to do. Couple of detailed pictures..
