Mixed Media Altered Frame
Hello my dear friends...
It's been a while since I posted. Was not keeping well and now recovering gradually. I altered an old frame, inspired by some gorgeous moodboards this month with some lovely pastel shades and pretty lavender and turquoise.(links at the end of post).
What a wonderful refreshment it was!!
Had an awesome time working on this. It was an old frame in antique bronze color that I painted with black gesso all over, followed by highlights with white gesso and prima metallic acrylic paints - "ancient coin" and "light Patina".
Next I covered the center part with a patterned cardstock that I sprayed with Lindy's and distress stain, followed by some stamping.
Then came embellishments and flowers. After arranging them all, I applied some strokes of white gesso and added more highlights with finnabair opal magic wax - "Royal Robes". Love the shade!
I also added some moss and torn laces for a shabby chic look.
Some detailed pictures..
Loved the final outcome and it goes straight on my living room gallery wall. Soon will post some pictures once the gallery wall is all done.
With this work I participate to:
