"Timeless"

Art Journal Page

Hello there..
Amidst all that life's routine, my art journal works as a real refreshment.
I had such a beautiful time doing this page. Absolutely loved the colors in Lindy's May Color Challenge.

To create my background, I have used a vintage script decoupage paper from Hobbycraft and it worked really well. I sprayed my background with Lindy's sprays (links below), followed by some background stamping with Finnabair Messy Script stamp. I also used distress Spray Stain in "Hickory Smoke" in some areas to bring in the depth. Some stenciling using a mixture of modelling paste and Lindy's magicals(link below). I used the same sprays to color my flowers to make them harmonize with the overall color theme. Found that vintage photo in my stash. Ended up with some art pebbles and text stickers. Some more detailed pictures..

"Dream"
Mixed Media notebook cover

Hi there..
Time for a new post this weekend. It's a notebook cover in mixed media style. Inspired by Mixed Media & Art May Challenge theme, I have created this small wall and window architecture.

Coming on to the details of this project. I started with covering my notebook with a canvas cloth and applying gesso. Next is the brick texture using modelling paste from art basics and stencil from Tim Holtz. The window is made with clay and colored with acrylic paint. I have used lots of flowers and moss, the colors just popped out so nicely. Some detailed pictures..

12*12 Layout - "Sweet Things"

Hiii..
It's been raining today and the weather seems to be back to cold and windy by evening. However, summers are showing well.. lots of sunshine, lots of outdoors for kids.. summers are fun here.
Back to my project this weekend, it had to be something my favorite.. oh my.. the list is huge.. but I chose "sweet things/desserts" as a theme for my layout. Often I start my day with some bit of chocolate or a piece of cake. Without desserts, my meal is incomplete.

I had a great time designing this one, played with bold vibrant colors. I have used paper from 7 dots studio Writer's Block - Sincerely. Love this collection!!
To prepare my base, I did some stenciling and stamping followed by distress spray stain and cosmic shimmer mist. I used a lot of paper flowers and other paper elements from my stash and some from Kaisercraft wildflower collectibles. Added Some other wooden embellishments and art pebbles. I colored the wooden letter "sweet" with finnabair art alchemy metallic paint in "antique copper" and also applied it at some places for highlights. I just wanted to stuck to my choco-strawberry theme and hence the use of brown and red. Also added some micro beads as final touch. Here are some more detailed pictures..

Mixed Media Altered Garden Tools

Hello there..
Today I have a colorful and vibrant altered art to share.. Garden tools in vintage rustic style, loaded with lots of floral details
I am so in love with this project!!

I have attached the altered tools to a box frame, transforming it to a gorgeous wall art. It was so much fun to alter these old garden tools.. sharing a quick detail.
Started with covering the tools with lots of gesso, followed by adding some texture with loads of Finnabair art stones.

Then added colors with distress spray stains in "vintage photo" and "Fossiled Amber", and Lindy's spray in "sassy sapphire".
Next is some gorgeous flowers from wild orchid crafts and some from my stash. Also used some metal embellishments and some gold glitter balls. I gave a brick texture to the background of my frame.. and there we go.. old tools found a new life, transforming into a wall art.
Some more detailed pictures..

Mixed Media Layout

"My Favorite Memory"

Hi there..
Happy to share this layout project which I guest designed as an inspiration for More Mixed Media Challenge May, the theme for which is "pink".

Pink is often associated with girlie things and so I picked a vintage photo of a sweet little girl for this layout.
The paper I have used is from one of soft pastels collection from theworks stores. I gessoed first and then used spray from Lindy's gang to color my background. I used some die cuts from Kaisercraft wildflower collectibles and some other mulberry flowers from my stash. To finish off I added some sentiments from Tim Holtz idea-ology.
Loved the final outcome!!
Some detailed pictures..

With this Layout, I participate in Words and Paintery April Challenge
Inspiration is the color pink with a shimmery twist..

Hope you enjoyed the pink time on my blog 😃.. thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!!
