Mixed Media alter scrap - ''Light Bulb''

Hello my friends..

Today I am here to share an interesting project done for MMA Thematic Challenge for August, where the theme is to create a project in the style of alter scrap, with obligatory use of a light bulb in any form. I created this piece of art using cover of my iphone box :)

I had an awesome time working on this. Have used Finnabair rust pastes and metallic acrylic paint in ''Light Patina'' to give that rusty appearance. Crackle paste did magic too. I love the combination of these two products. I have used some metal findings here along with one of my favorite chipboards from dusty attic. I also used distress spray stain in ''vintage photo'' over the crackle paste on the box inside and out. The vintage and rustic fascinates me all the time and I am quite happy with the results in this project, the way I could incorporate a light bulb was pretty much an interesting part. Words & Paintery DT inspiration for September

Hi Friends,

Back today with my DT project for Words & Paintery September Challenge. The mood board is bright and beautiful with red and pink tones and I created a 12*12 page layout using products from Fabrika Decoru.

The Autumn collection from Fabrika Decoru is full of vibrant colors, flowers and foliage. I had an amazing time doing this project. Some detailed pictures below. I got a chance to do a tutorial video for the very first time :)

Mixed Media Canvas

Hello there..

Back today with an inspirational work based on Mixed Media Art and More Than Words challenge moodboards. I got really fascinated by forest theme and grunge style of MMA and MTW respectively, and came up with a canvas incorporating both the elements.

Coming on to the process.. I started off with Finnabair crackle paste as the base. Once the crackle paste dried, I worked with the darkest shade of Finnabair Rust Effect paste set. I loved the grungy effect it brought to the whole project. Next I arranged all of the stuff randomly.. couple of old brushes, flowers, leaves, metal objects, wooden scraps, art stones, some chipboard shapes from Dusty attic and Wycinanka, moss, sisal and a resin butterfly from Prima that automatically stood out as a focal point. All that I stuck with Finnabair 3d gloss gel, followed by coverage of Finnabair heavy white gesso. Then I added the much awaited green to whole of the loaded center using Lindy's spray (Gator Gumbo Olive) and Ranger distress spray stains (Twisted Citron).
Added lots of art stones and some micro beads. Also I gave a touch of Finnabair wax (Bronze age). Added some word power with Till Holtz small talks. I was happy with the result and loved the greens.. I could actually smell the forest 🌳
